Education Grants

To support education and research in oral tissue regeneration, the Osteology Foundation is providing education grants for experienced dental healthcare professionals to attend the International Osteology Symposium in Barcelona 2019.

As of 1 January 2018, the new MedTech Europe code prohibits member companies from direct, individual sponsorship of delegates to attend educational conferences. As a result, these companies will now offer their support through trusted partners such as the Osteology Foundation, which will have the sole responsibility for awarding industry sponsored education grants.

All applications will be assessed based on predefined criteria specified by the Education Committee of the Osteology Foundation. Only candidates who meet the eligibility and qualifying criteria should apply.

  • Holds an academic degree in dentistry, e.g. DDS, DMD, or equivalent, depending on which country the degree was obtained in

  • Has been in dental practice for ten years or more

  • Aged 35 or over (date of Congress is decisive)

  • Can attend the full scientific programme of the Congress (25–27 April 2019)

  • Submission of the required documents (proof of academic degree in dentistry, short CV of max. 2 pages to verify the 10 years’ experience in dental practice, copy of ID or passport)

Application process

  • Apply with the form at the end of this page by 16 January 2019 at the latest.

  • Grant recipients will be notified in January 2019.

  • The education grants are intended for the International Osteology Symposium Barcelona 2019 only.

  • To verify the eligibility criteria listed above, the Osteology Foundation mandatorily requests from each applicant a copy of the proof of academic degree in dentistry (diploma), a short CV of max. 2 pages and a copy of the ID. All these documents will only be used for the education grant application process. The Osteology Foundation confirms to delete all received documents after having finished the official education grant application process.

  • In case of absence due to illness, force majeure or other unavoidable circumstances, the grant award would be deemed lost and the candidate asked to explain his/her absence.

  • All paperwork (visa, travel bookings, etc...) remains the responsibility of the applicant.
